Freedom of ideas. Should it be protected when those ideas directly attack, demean, gravely offend and indirectly endanger other people in our society? For example certain extreme racist views that do not grant full human status to people of color. Should they just be treated like any other idea? I think not. I am not saying arrest those who have them but certainly, people with such antisocial and inhumane ideas cannot be allowed the same access to public expression venues as others. Perhaps expressing such ideas in public should be treated as a form of "indecent exposure."
