Life's prairie

In leisurely hesitant morning gusts
gathering pampered sun shine peeks
enduring natural smile companionship
amidst a cool rain of omniscient touch

This is the greenest prairie playground
with pulsing poppies and dancing flesh
and shy dreams that root on nursing ground
garlanded with flowers in lightest mind mist

The dreamy gesture of bee buzz flight
and warm kisses given by sun crowned lips
under a tree with flat embracing leaves
that was erected to frame and behold us

The working parts of this creation
forever vigilant for slight slips
they bring swarms of wise menders
and heal the place in splendor

This is to be enjoyed by mortals
that reach for a divine fate
they never know it if they succeed
but never leave, lingering bliss

They live within it and rejoice
sweet masochistic faith in tomorrow
for what makes it beautiful
is what its fleeting brings
and empty arms and hollow hearts
that patiently wait to be refilled
